We are excited at the upcoming launch of our major fundraising campaign for 2025 – the Cup of Kindness. And you hardly have to do anything to help make it a success. The Cup of Kindness project aims to have 100 people donate just $5 a week- the price of a cup of coffee – towards settling refugee families in our area.
We hope to find a good-hearted stallholder at each local market who will hang a very small PR banner for the project on their stall. The banner will have small flyers showing people how to donate.
Are you a stallholder? Do you have a friend who is a stallholder? Can you ask them if they would be willing? We need a liaison person at each market who will have the simple task of keeping flyers stocked. Many of you go to markets regularly, so this shouldn’t be out of your way. Can you put your hand up to be our eyes on the ground at a market?
If we get enough support from our members we could easily sign up many more than 100 donors.
Also, you may have a business where we could put a small stand with flyers on your counter – let us know.
Please email our volunteers coordinator Ollie Heathwood if you can help, volunteers@nrfr.org.au, or send her a text on 0428 284 030, and she will call you.
