Our new publicity team

Russell Eldridge has joined the BR4R committee and is the new publicity coordinator.

Russell is a former editor of The Northern Star  and has been living in the region for more than 40 years. He will be responsible for the monthly Bulletin and wider mainstream coverage. He is keen to hear from CSGs and anyone involved with BR4R and can be contacted at the email below.

He teams up with Monique, coordinator of the group’s social media. Monique manages the BR4R Facebook and Instagram accounts and will use her tech skills to put the Bulletin to bed each month. Monique also coordinates the FoRBS (Friends of Refugees Byron Shire) community support group and is a BR4R volunteer.

Of course, we won’t lose the services of Lisa Dillon, who will continue to write her wonderful stories of local refugee families and the people who help them. Lisa remains on the committee and is switching her focus to direct involvement with refugees through a Community Support Group.

Contact Russell or Monique with your stories and photos about volunteering for BR4R, being part of a Community Support Group and your activities with the refugee household you are supporting.

We would also like like event coordinators and Community Support Group coordinators to identify a person from your event or group to liaise with us. Email Monique and Russell their name and contact details.
