Northern Rivers for Refugees recently formed a partnership with Tweed Welcomes Refugees. TWR is a community supporter group (CSG), formed in May 2023.
TWR is the eighth CSG that Northern Rivers for Refugees has supported.
The partnership is a commitment from NRFR to support TWR to welcome and settle refugee households in the Tweed Shire.
The CSG welcomed a household from Venezuela at the end of 2023 and is awaiting the arrival of another refugee household via CRISP early in 2025.
Two members of Tweed Welcomes Refugees joined the NRFR committee last November. They are Bernd Langer and Liz Waters.
