The Settlement Council of Australia, has congratulated NRFR’s nomination for the Outstanding Settlement Contribution Awards (OSCAs).
“It is a well-deserved nomination for the category of ‘Outstanding Work in Regional Setting’,” said Chief Executive Officer Sandra Elhelw.
“This recognition reflects your exceptional contributions to the settlement sector.
Your dedication to supporting migrant and refugee communities as they navigate their
settlement journeys is a powerful example of how community-led, locally-driven approaches
can create lasting change.”
She said NRFR’s work, from establishing new Community Supporter Groups (CSGs) to
providing critical financial and settlement support, had made a profound impact
not only in individual lives but also enriched the Northern Rivers community and positively
contributed to the broader settlement sector.
